Instructions:

1. About wiring:

VCC and GND are connected to the power supply, and the steering gear is inserted at the 2X3P pin. VCC is the positive pole, GND is the negative pole, and S is the signal terminal.

2. Manual mode:

Select the manual mode by pressing the on-board button. At this time, the manual light will be on and the center light will be off. The manual mode includes knob control and serial port control. The default is knob control. The system will automatically switch the two control modes, that is, select knob control when the potentiometer is detected to rotate, and select serial port control when the serial port receives effective control commands.

Knob control:

Directly turn the potentiometer to control the steering gear to rotate within 0-180 °

Serial port control:

On-board MCU can receive and analyze the data sent by the upper computer, external MCU and other devices

The steering gear position command (baud rate 9600, compatible with 3.3V/5V level), so as to control two steering gears respectively. The steering gear position command format is: #<ch>P<time>!, Their respective meanings are as follows:

a. # is the starting symbol and is indispensable;

b. <ch>indicates which steering gear is controlled, with a total of 2 channels (range: 00-01 corresponds to M0 and M1 respectively);

C. P is a fixed symbol in the instruction format and is indispensable;

d. <time>indicates the width of PWM signal (range: 0500-2500 corresponds to 0-180 ° respectively);

e, ! Is the end symbol of an instruction, indicating the end of an instruction, which is indispensable.

For example, send # 00P1500! The steering gear M0 can be turned to 90 °

Send # 01P1000! The steering gear M1 can be turned to 45 °

Back to center mode:

Select the center return mode by pressing the onboard button. At this time, the manual light is off, the middle position light is on, and the steering gear M0 and M1 will return to the middle position at the same time

Reminder:

Because the steering gear is a relatively power-consuming device (such as the MG995/MG996 steering gear), the power supply current for the steering gear needs to be sufficient. When the steering gear rotates, if the LED on the board flickers, the steering gear is not controlled or the error is obviously large, and other abnormal phenomena occur, it means that the power supply current is insufficient and the power supply needs to be replaced.
