LM2577 DC to DC step-up switching regulator, adjustable +1.25 to 30vdc output, up to 3A. The LM2577 is really designed to step up +5 to 10vdc to +12vdc at < 1A. The maximum step-up voltage and current available depends on the input voltage, so if you input +5vdc you could expect to get 12vdc output at < 1A.
